Returns, Exchanges & Refunds, Lakshmi Vasthralaya

Every saree we sell is carefully chosen and checked before it leaves our store. If your order isn't quite right, we're here to help. Please read the terms below before you raise a request.

We currently accept online orders for delivery within India only.

1. Time to request a return or exchange

You can request a return or exchange within 3 days of delivery. Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

2. Condition of returned items

To qualify, the product must be:

  • Unused, unwashed and free from stains, perfume or damage
  • Kept in its original folding, with the price tag and labels attached
  • Returned with the blouse piece uncut and still attached
  • Sent back in its original packaging

If a returned item doesn't meet these conditions, we can't accept it, and we'll send it back to you.

3. Items we cannot take back

  • Sarees with fall, pico, tassels (kuchu) or any other customisation

4. Damaged, defective or wrong items

Please record a clear, uncut unboxing video, from the sealed parcel until the product is fully opened. Then email it to us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number. Once we've checked the video, you can despatch.

Silk and handloom sarees may show slight differences in shade, weave or zari compared with the photos, because of lighting and screen settings. These differences are part of handcrafted textiles and aren't defects.

6. How to raise a request

  1. Email style.lakshmivathralaya@gmail.com or call/WhatsApp 9072791044 with your order number, the reason and photos or video.
  2. Our team will reply within 1–2 working days with approval and return instructions.
  3. Pack the product securely and ship it to our store address below. Please don't send items back without approval.

7. Refunds

  • We'll check returned items within 3 working days of receiving them.
  • Approved refunds go back to your original payment method. They usually reach your account within 5–7 working days.
  • Shipping and charges are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

8. Exchanges

  • Exchanges depend on stock. If the item you want isn't available, we'll offer store credit or a refund.
  • Store credit is valid for 6 months on our website or in our showroom.

9. Cancellations

  • Once an order has shipped, it can't be cancelled. You can still use the return terms above.
  • Customised orders can't be cancelled after you place them.
